As you will be aware the Task Force on Personalised Budgets has, since its
establishment, been progressing an ambitious work plan on the development
of personalised budget models.
In line with its commitment to consult with stakeholders, the Task Force
will shortly open a public consultation exercise. As part of this process
a series of regional meetings are being held for members of the Advisory &
Consultative Group, Reference Group and Strategy Group and other invited
participants. The consultations are being carried out to inform the Task
Force deliberations on specific elements of relevance to the personalised
budget models. Everyone with an interest including health and social care providers, health and social care workers, advocacy groups, those providing complementary services (such as existing providers of forms of personalised budgets) and representative organisations will be welcome to participate in the public consultation.
However, the consultation is particularly aimed at people who may wish to
use personalised budgets, their families and the general public.
Four regional meetings will be held:
Cork (Imperial Hotel) 9th October 2017, 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm
Dublin, (Venue to be confirmed) 11 October 2017, 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm
Galway (Radisson Blu Hotel) 18 October 2017, 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm
Cavan (Cavan Crystal Hotel) 19 October 2017, 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Attendance at the meetings will be by invitation only and prior registration will be required.
A formal invitation and details of the registration process will follow shortly. In the meantime, you may wish to note the dates for your diary.
Details of the written consultation will be issued in the coming days and
Task Force members are, of course, welcome to participate in that also.
